Slaney Medical Centre
The medical centre was set up in 1997 by Dr. Derek Forde and has expanded over the years. Today we have 4 GP's, 3 practice nurses and other qualified personnel offering a friendly, family orientated service to the community.

This practice is recognised by the Irish College of General Practitioners as a training practice for Doctor's and is also recognised by University College Dublin and the University of Limerick as a training practice for students.

Dr. Derek Forde
Graduated from UCD. Vocationally trained in General Practice in the North West training scheme. Lecturer in General Practice in University of Melbourne. Trainer in General Practice since 1993. General Practice tutor for University of Limerick & UCD.
Special interests: Sports Medicine, Occupational Medicine, Back pain & Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Dr. Caroline Hogan
Graduated from UCD. Completed vocational training in General Practice in the UK. Joined Slaney Medical in 2001.
Special interests: Paediatrics, women’s health and geriatric medicine.
Dr. Linda Forde
Graduated from UCD. Completed vocational training in General Practice in South East training scheme. Joined Slaney Medical in 2008. Tutor in General Practice for the Irish College of General Practitioners. Tutor in family planning (insertion of Implanon & Mirena).
